§01 · My story
I have been building for the web since 2009, helping businesses build their digital presence for over 17 years. From large corporations to small local shops, I have seen what works and what does not when it comes to getting real results online.
Over the years, I have worked with companies of all sizes: enterprise clients who needed complex systems, mid-size businesses scaling their operations, and small business owners who just needed a solid website that brings in customers. That range of experience is what sets NutmegBuilds apart.
After moving to Connecticut, I noticed something: local small businesses were either stuck with outdated websites or paying thousands to agencies for cookie-cutter solutions. A barbershop owner making $5,000 a month should not have to hand an agency two full months of revenue just to look professional online. That is why our build is $1,995, split into 60% to start and 40% before it goes live, payable by any working business in America.
That is why I started NutmegBuilds. I bring professional experience that goes back to 2009 and use modern tools and streamlined workflows to do what agencies need five people for. Same quality. Same technology. Just without the overhead of a 20-person agency.
Today, NutmegBuilds handles both: monthly websites for businesses that need to look professional and get found online, and custom development for those that need something more, web apps, automation, e-commerce platforms, or mobile tools. And when we build custom tools, you own them. No monthly fees to Mailchimp, no rent to HubSpot, just software that's yours.
Every business deserves great tech, not just the ones with big budgets.
I also built NutmegLocal, a free directory helping CT residents find local businesses. It is another way I try to give back to the community that welcomed me.
When I am not coding, you will find me exploring the trails around New Fairfield, trying new coffee spots, or catching up with friends at a local restaurant.
§02 · What drives us
The principles behind every project.
Genuine Care
Your success is our success. We treat every project like our own business depends on it, because it does.
Local First
We live and work in Connecticut. We understand the local market, and we are always just a call away.
Quality Over Quantity
I take on a limited number of clients so each one gets the attention it needs, and the person who built the site is the one who keeps it running.
Plain English
I explain what I am building in the words you already use for your own business, and I make sure the reason behind each decision is clear.
§03 · Why local matters
Why local matters.
You could hire a developer from anywhere. So why choose someone local?
Face-to-face meetings
When you need to talk through your vision, I can meet you at your office, your shop, or your favorite coffee spot.
Same time zone, same urgency
When your website needs a last-minute update before a big event, I am picking up the phone right here in Connecticut.
I know your customers
I shop at the same stores, eat at the same restaurants, and drive the same roads. That local perspective means I understand your audience.
Money stays local
When we work together, the investment stays in our community. That matters to me, and it should matter to you too.
Outside the Danbury area? We work with businesses across Connecticut and beyond, and the code, the communication and the support are the same either way. What changes is the in-person part. If a project deserves a handshake, we will happily make the drive.
